See Andy Samberg Impersonate Eddie Vedder at Spirit Awards

Andy Samberg impersonated Eddie Vedder at the Spirit Awards as the Lonely Island star turned Pearl Jam's "Alive" into an ode to still-living actors during the ceremony's not-so-death reel, the Hollywood Reporter wrote.

A spoof on major award shows' In Memoriam segment, Samberg – donning Vedder's Ten-era look of long hair and flannel tied around waist – sang a "non-memoriam" rendition of "Alive" to Spirit Awards attendees like Matt "Mattie D-Bones" Damon, Viggo Mortensen and Craig Robinson, noting how each actor was, in fact, not dead.

"I'm Eddie Vedder and I love the Cubs. My voice sounds exactly like this," Samberg sang to the tune of the Ten classic, later adding "Apologies to Pearl Jam."

The performance concluded with Fred Armisen pretending to die on camera. "Uh, oh no. Just now? Dammit. He was like a pretty close friend of mine, we did a lot of projects together," Samberg said before firing off a clichéd tribute tweet.
